I worked together with Mark Terblanche at Duco Speciality coatings (then known as AECI coatings) for over 10 years. During this time I was particularly impressed with his technical knowledge of all aspects of resin technology for paint systems, and surface coatings systems in general, as well as his ability to apply this knowledge to obtain practical solutions for paint applications. Coupled with this, he has the a good track record of managing projects by effectively combining his technical skills with good communication and people management techniques.

(Quality manager Behr South Africa)
I worked with Mark Terblanche at Duco Speciality Coatings (Pty) Ltd, Struandale factory in Port Elizabeth, where he was Factory Chemist / Project Manager from 2004 to 2006.

We continued working together, from 2006 to 2011, after Mark moved to Toyota, Durban, as Technical Manager for Duco Speciality Coatings. This move also enabled him to gain experience in the warehousing and distribution centres.

With more than 20 years experience in the automotive paints industry, Mark has lead Duco's Technical Department in the South African OEM market. The introduction of "New" or "Changed" products being a large part of this function. By working closely with the respective customers, Mark played an important role in enabling the company to supply top quality products directly from technology partners in Japan, the EU and USA.

Additional to his role as Technical Manager, Mark played a vital role in assisting me in co-ordinating the SHEQ activities, including ISO9001 and ISO14001 preparation and audits, Root Cause Analysis, etc. Mark Terblanche is a Specialist in his field and would be an asset to any business
